Striking Victim Image From Bashkirian Airlines Flight 2937
On July 1, 2002, a catastrophic mid-air collision occurred involving Bashkirian Airlines Flight 2937 and DHL International Flight 611. The incident took place over the town of Überlingen, Germany, near Lake Constance. Bashkirian Airlines Flight 2937 was a Tupolev TU154M passenger airplane flying from Moscow, Russia, to Barcelona, Spain. The aircraft collided with a Boeing 757-23APF cargo airplane operating as DHL International Flight 611, which was en route from Bergamo, Italy, to Brussels, Belgium. Both airplanes were destroyed in the collision. Tragically, all individuals on board both aircraft were killed in the accident. This included 60 passengers and nine crew members on the Bashkirian Airlines flight, and the pilot and co-pilot on the DHL cargo airplane. The collision raised significant concerns about air traffic control procedures and the use of collision avoidance systems. It led to various safety recommendations and changes in air traffic control protocols to prevent similar tragedies in the future.  · |

They made this into a movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger called - Aftermath(2017) I guess that would be Arnolds wife's head and shoulder! Apparently his daughter landed in trees(like in the movie) and he found her...she was in 1 piece as the trees broke her fall. His son however was dashed to pieces when his body hit asphalt in front of an Überlingen bus shelter.
