Re: South Korea's Jeju Air Plane Crashes at Muan International Airport
i think they wouldve survived if they were coming in the other way of the runway where there was no wall and had plenty of overrun to skid to. also i wonder if they wouldve faired better if they went down diagonally, if you look on google maps there is a lot more area to allow for slowing down compared to just going straight the run way.

Aircraft speed was much too fast for a wheels up landing. There is something else going on here.

Re: South Korea's Jeju Air Plane Crashes at Muan International Airport
Here's the thing they hit: ![]() It kind of looks like they made emergency landing after engine flame out from birds, forgot to lower landing gear and attempted to take off again after touch down but couldn't and didn't have enough time to slow down at that point. |

Re: South Korea's Jeju Air Plane Crashes at Muan International Airport
Thrust reversers were deployed. They absolutely were not trying to take off again with the reversers engaged. They were going very fast though. No wheel brakes to slow them down, and the thrust reversers don’t do much if the engine isn’t operable. Sad situation all around. |

Re: South Korea's Jeju Air Plane Crashes at Muan International Airport
Here's a video of a "737-800 Pilot" with funny accent. I haven't posted for a while so i'll try to simply rip it of YT .. He puts a well thought out video together, about the landing gear not being deployed, and neither any Flaps being used, suggesting a major issue with all Hydraulic systems |
