Small Plane Near Kaibaly Village Lands in River, Killing Two
On April 21, 2018, there was an accident involving a KP-2U SOVA aircraft, registration number RA-0125A, near Kaibaly village in the Altai region of the Republic of Khakassia. Unfortunately, both the pilot and a passenger on board were killed in this incident. The investigation concluded that the crash occurred due to the aircraft entering overcritical angles of attack and stalling while performing maneuvers not specified in the aircraft's flight manual, which led to a collision with the water surface.
