It's not advisable to fly aerobatic aircraft so close to the surface as there is no altitude with which to recover in any misjudgements.


I have flown as a passenger in an aerobatic plane one time. ONE time.


You can unexpectedly lose a few hundred feet very easily through a missed execution or estimation.

In fact, my dad took us over the ocean to practice.

This way, if there was a problem, only two of us would die and not any innocents on the ground.

I don't know what that pilot was thinking but he obviously didn't have enough altitude. How the hell you gonna attempt a maneuver like that at that altitude and not expect fatal results? On the way down I didn't hear the engine sputter and I didn't see any attempt to pull up. Pilot Error!
