Plane Hits Ferris Wheel at Taree Carnival, 2011
On September 30, 2011, a light aircraft crashed into a 65-foot Ferris wheel at a carnival in Taree, New South Wales, Australia. The Ferris wheel remained largely intact and upright after the impact. Both occupants of the aircraft survived, and no one was killed or seriously injured.
