Plane Flies Through Wave During Takeoff
This was a lucky takeoff. This plane was taking off from an aircraft carrier when a wave hit, and it had to fly right through it.

I think that was just the top of the wave hitting the bow of the ship not an actual wave. Hitting an actual wave would be enough to drown out those engines I would think. Water is one of those substances that doesn't compress or rather takes a massive amount of pressure to compress so ingesting it into an engine causes catastrophic failure.
