Piper PA-28R-200 Crash Near Slaughters, KY
A single-engine Piper PA-28R-200, N9420N, operated by Space Cadets Inc, crashed near Slaughters, KY, on March 2, 2023. The aircraft sustained substantial damage, and no one was injured. The crash was caused by maintenance personnel failing to secure the fuel strainer bowl with safety wire, which allowed it to leak and starved the engine of fuel. The obstruction of two fuel injector nozzles was also causal.  ·  ·  ·  ·
