outside of simulator flying, the most I've done is spins, but that crash to me looks like he got disoriented and just did too many rolls before trying to recover. I think it was just a miscalculation, but that's again just based on my limited knowledge of aerobatic flying. imo, passing out is probably not the cause, but that's mainly because the plane did not seem to be doing any high-g maneuvers in the moments prior to the plane being in an unrecoverable situation. feel free to roast me if I'm wrong. just my thoughts on it. You're more likely to find someone passing out when the plane is going at a higher speed. The plane was not going particularly fast prior to his attempted recovery, which means that the maximum g-load you can put on the wings before you get into an accelerated stall is lower. That's why you slow down if you are in really heavy turbulence. |
