Military Transport Aircraft Crashes in Sri Lanka
A Russian-made Antonov-32 fixed-wing aircraft belonging to the Sri Lanka Air Force crashed into a rubber estate in Hokandara at approximately 6:30 am. The crash resulted in the loss of four Air Force officers and left another hospitalized. The Antonov-32, a twin-engine turboprop military transport aircraft, was on a routine flight when it encountered difficulties, leading to the crash in the estate. The circumstances surrounding the incident are currently under investigation to determine the cause of the crash that resulted in the death of four officers. |
