JetRanger Chopper Pilot Dead After Crashing into a House
A Bell 206B JetRanger III helicopter, operated by Helimarte, crashed into a house in São Paulo on January 21, 2013, at approximately 13:50 local time, resulting in the death of the pilot and injuries to four others. The helicopter, registered under PR-JBN and with c/n / msn 4661, was declared a total loss, damaged beyond repair. The helicopter was en route from Campo de Marte Airport to the West Zone of São Paulo when the accident occurred. On board were one crew member and two passengers. Additionally, one individual on the ground sustained injuries due to the crash. At the time of the incident, light rain was falling over São Paulo. However, there were no reports of the heavy downpours that are typical in the South American summer season. The exact cause of the crash remains unclear. A spokesperson for Brazil's air force confirmed that the aircraft involved was a Bell 206 helicopter, a model capable of carrying up to seven passengers and a pilot. The helicopter was being used as an air taxi service. São Paulo, known for its severe road congestion, has one of the world's largest private fleets of helicopters, commonly used for commuting and bypassing traffic. The incident has raised concerns over the safety of helicopter travel in urban areas, particularly in adverse weather conditions. Brazilian aviation authorities have initiated an investigation to determine the factors leading to the crash.  |

No food on the tables, but everyone has a cellphone.  Instead on checking to see if what was in the pilot's hand was worth anything he should have checked his pulse. Remind me not to die in public. |
