Japan Airlines Passenger Plane hits tail of a parked Delta Air Lines plane
A Japan Airlines Flight 68, which had just arrived from Tokyo was involved in an accident at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA). The incident occurred when the wing of the Japan Airlines plane, while taxiing, struck the tail of a parked Delta Air Lines Flight 1921, a Boeing 737 scheduled to depart for Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, with 142 passengers on board. No injuries were reported from the collision. Passengers on both flights were safely deplaned and transported to the terminal. |

CO-PILOT: "Ready to start the engines Captain?" PILOT: "Uhhh, gimme a sec... damned breathalyzer lock must be broken, again."

BTW, my post above about the ACARS message to the crew from JAL operations wasn't a joke. It was really sent! Not kidding. :)

Re: Japan Airlines Passenger Plane hits tail of a parked Delta Air Lines plane
The Japan Airlines plane was a Boeing 787 with has a wingspan of just under 200 ft. The 737 it hits his pushed all the way into the gate so either that Japan Airlines guy was way off taxiway Centerline or there just isn't room for him on that taxiway.

It turned out the Japanese pilot stated repeatedly that he wanted to get some "tail" while he was there! |
