Indian Actress Soundarya Killed In Plane Crash
On April 17, 2004 actress Soundarya died in a plane crash. The actress, along with her brother Amarnath and two others, perished when their Cessna 180 aircraft crashed moments after takeoff from Jakkur Airfield in Bangalore. The group was en route to Karimnagar in Andhra Pradesh, where Soundarya was scheduled to campaign for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the upcoming elections. The accident that claimed Soundarya's life occurred shortly after the Cessna 180 took off. Reports indicate that the aircraft ascended to a height of approximately 100 feet before it started veering to the left and plummeted to the ground. The plane crashed into an open field near the airport and burst into flames, leaving no survivors. Investigations into the crash focused on potential mechanical failure and pilot error as contributing factors.  ·  · |
