Idaho Backcountry Mid-Air Crash While Attempting to Land
Two small planes, a Piper PA-28R-200 and a Piper PA-22-135, collided while on final approach to land at a non-towered remote airport, according to the official FAA crash report. Despite both pilots reportedly making several position announcements on the common traffic advisory frequency, they failed to hear each other's reports. The PA-22-135 was beginning to abort its landing when the collision occurred. Video evidence showed the PA-28R-200 at a higher altitude, overtaking and descending onto the PA-22-135. The inability of either pilot to see and avoid the other aircraft was the primary cause of the midair collision, with a contributing factor being the failure of both pilots to adequately monitor position reports from other aircraft in the pattern.

Man, I hate seeing shit like this! Stupidity and moronic beyond belief and those who do it result in a much deserved fate. Unless it's a private air strip, the only time you land in anywhere without a tower with radar is during a emergency. Those pilots were risking they're life and of their passengers... |

Now there’s the difference in Americans filming a tragedy and some other countries people. They RAN to help right away and no blood and guts shown.
