Helicopter Crashes on The River Turvo Bank in Brazil

Brazil, Three victims of the helicopter crash on Sunday Jan 22 were hospitalized. The accident was filmed by bathers who were on the banks of the River Turvo.

Technicians from the Third Regional Aeronautical Accident Investigation and Prevention Service (Seripa III) went to to the scene of the accident on Monday to begin the analyzes that may lead to the causes of the accident.

Of the three patients who are in the health unit, only one, 31, is in a stable state. He's due for a CT scan.

Some people complained of the low altitude of the helicopter, which, according to the Fire Department, belongs to the company Wsfly. The company was not found in the report to comment on the case.

A few seconds after flying over the water, the aircraft began to lose altitude and fell a few meters from the river bank.

Bathers rushed to rescue the pilot and passengers.

The Aeronautics will investigate the cause of the crash but, according to witnesses, the so-called 'tailwind' may have contributed to the crash.

At least the helicopter was at low altitude and the impact did not create a big nasty Explosion

Even there was no explosion or gore, that was still pretty cool. Imagine being there and seeing that.

Settled with power?

"Settling with Power is a condition of powered flight where the helicopter settles into its own downwash. The condition may also be referred to as the vortex ring state. Conditions conducive to settling with power are a vertical or nearly vertical descent of at least 300 feet per minute and low forward airspeed"
