Internet classic

Video from Le Bourget Dec 2005 of French SA 330 Puma helo during troop insertion exercise. Amazing that no one was injured during this mishap.

What the video doen't show, because of frame/camera angle, is the failure of the tail rotor drive shaft where it meets the first gear box on the tail.

Thats not how I saw it, but ok.
I think you're right. My opinion is that pilot error (hard landing) caused a tail rotor failure which subsequently caused the crash.

Edit to add I don't know shit about helos, so IDK what the hell happened.
