Dakota Crash-landed on London House in 1946
On December 19, 1946, a Railway Air Services Douglas Dakota 3 failed to climb after takeoff in London because snow and ice had contaminated its wings. The aircraft came to rest on the roof of a house. The crew suffered only minor injuries.
