Collapse of Landing Gear Causes Crash at an Airport in Honduras
On January 4, 2022, a LANHSA-operated British Aerospace Jetstream 3101, registration HR-AYY, experienced an accident upon landing at Juan Manuel Galvez International Airport in Roatan, Honduras. After touching down on runway 07, the aircraft suffered a collapse of its right-hand main gear. This malfunction caused the aircraft to veer off the runway and come to rest on soft ground adjacent to it. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported among the occupants, who were all safely evacuated from the aircraft. However, the incident resulted in substantial damage to the aircraft |

I'm pretty sure that ocean was looming real close in those cabin windows on the starboard side, especially after the aircraft departed the active runway to the right.

After the plane stops, I hear a bunch of knuckleheads trying to get their overhead luggage |
