Cirrus SR22 Crash Near Jesup, GA
A single-engine Cirrus SR22, N911TK, crashed near Jesup, GA, on April 6, 2023. The aircraft sustained substantial damage. The pilot was the only person aboard and was fatally injured. The crash was caused by the pilot's failure to maintain adequate airspeed and exceeding the airplane's critical angle of attack, which led to a loss of control while maneuvering for a visual landing in low ceiling and low visibility conditions. The pilot's decision to attempt a visual landing in low visibility conditions contributed to the accident.
