China Airlines Cargo Plane Crashes into Baggage Carts at (ORD)
On January 29, 2022, a China Airlines Cargo Boeing 747-400F collided with a series of baggage carts while taxiing at Chicago O'Hare Airport, United States. The incident occurred in the early morning, around 6:30 a.m. The aircraft, registered B-18715, was operating cargo flight CI5240, which had arrived at O'Hare Airport from Anchorage-Ted Stevens International Airport. The collision caused damage to the aircraft's left-hand side engines. Despite the damage, no injuries were reported in the mishap. Fire services responded promptly to the scene to assess the extent of the damage. |

No. He's CHINESE! It's lucky the airport didn't dig a hole there, too! Surprised there weren't 3 motorbikes and a steam roller involved. |

Talked to a friend on an airline site. He said they hadn't plowed the area, so the ground taxi guidelines couldn't be seen. The pilot cut the turn too wide and got the left wing over the baggage cart storage area. It got damage to both L/H engines, and the left main gear doors. That airplane will be down for a few weeks for sure.

then they shouldn't have been taxiing anywhere near that fast. looks like it slid to me. if the camera can clearly see the plane, then the pilots could clearly see all that crap they ran over. |
