A single-engine Cessna 182D, N8713X, crashed near Batesville, MS, on May 1, 2023. The airplane sustained substantial damage. The pilot was not injured. The crash was caused by the pilot's failure to maintain control while landing with a left gusting crosswind. A partial loss of engine power during the go-around contributed to the accident.
