Cessna 172 N1596E Crash Near South Bethlehem, NY
On May 11, 2023, a single-engine Cessna 172, N1596E, crashed near South Bethlehem, NY. The aircraft was substantially damaged. Three people were aboard. Two were seriously injured, and one received minor injuries. The crash was caused by the pilot's improper decision to attempt an intersection takeoff with a tailwind when the full runway was available in the opposite, headwind direction.  ·  ·  ·
