Atlanta Airport Personnel Ran Over Whilst Directing a Plane

An image was broadcast on social networks and it appears to be from the security camera of the Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL), when a truck hits a worker on the ground while he is apparently giving signals to a Delta Boeing 717 Air Lines seen in the background.

The events occurred on December 10 on the airport ramp, probably near gate C16. According to the driving of the truck personnel, it can be seen that it is going at a high speed, something that is not particular to that airport but in many others, where the carelessness of these personnel has suffered several accidents and incidents.

So far, the health condition of the signalman who was heavily rammed is unknown. In fact, the signaling batons are seen flying at the time of the coup, which suggests that he was in the process of moving an aircraft.

The truck employee stops and runs to the aid of the hit man while the short video shows no activity. From the newsroom we hope that the worker on land is in recovery and remember that the attention.

Re: Atlanta Airport Personnel Ran Over Whilst Directing a Plane

Ramp speed is usually fifteen MPH or less, and five MPH between or behind parked aircraft, unless it is an emergency response vehicle. Taxiing aircraft always have the right-of-way on the ramp. WM, please correct me if I’m wrong. This guy was motoring.

He was probably trying to beat the 717 turning into the gate.
And you should never stand on the road, that's just asking for trouble

Re: Atlanta Airport Personnel Ran Over Whilst Directing a Plane

According to an Atlanta police report, officers responded to Concourse C around 6 p.m. and found Camdyn Davis "was laying on the ground and bleeding from her head." She was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital.

Police say Davis was struck by an airline lavatory servicing vehicle. According to the police report, the driver told officers he was not paying attention to where he was driving, instead looking down at his tablet when he struck Davis.

The driver was cited by airport operations and the City of Atlanta Department of Aviation confiscated his SIDA badge, the report states. He was escorted from the scene by a Delta supervisor.

Davis’ mother says her daughter suffered several broken bones, a fractured skull, and a serious concussion. They have set up a GoFundMe account to help pay for her medical bills.

That idiot driver not only ran over a person, he was about to crash into a taxiing airplane. He needs to be banned from the industry.

I hope she makes a full recovery.

And I hope the airline doesn't fuck her on what she is entitled to. That's big bucks there and well deserved
