Amateur-built A600 Crash Near Foley, AL

An amateur-built A600, N272AM, crashed near Foley, AL, on April 6, 2023. The single-engine aircraft was destroyed.

The pilot was not injured.

The crash was caused by a loss of engine power during initial climb due to the disconnection of the turbocharger air intake hose and clamp, and the pilot's inadequate servicing and preflight inspection of the turbocharger air intake clamp.
