Airbus EC 130 T2 N231SH Crash Near Chelsea, Alabama
On April 2, 2023, an Airbus Helicopters EC 130 T2, registration N231SH, operated by AIR METHODS CORP, crashed near Chelsea, Alabama. The single-engine helicopter was substantially damaged. The pilot and two others were aboard. Two people were fatally injured, and one was seriously injured. The crash was caused by the pilot's delayed corrective inputs while maneuvering, which led to a loss of control. The pilot's use of multiple sedating medications contributed to the accident.
