Air Force F-18 Crashes Near Zaragoza, Spain
A potentially tragic plane crash occurred this Saturday morning in Zaragoza involving an F-18 fighter from the Air Force stationed at the local airbase. The incident, confirmed by the Civil Guard, took place at approximately 12:10 p.m. while the pilot was engaged in exhibition maneuvers. For reasons yet unknown, the aircraft crashed within the military compound. Remarkably, the pilot managed to eject in time, avoiding a fatal outcome. However, initial reports indicate that the pilot sustained various leg injuries. Fortunately, he remains conscious and has been promptly transported to a medical center via a 112 medical helicopter. His life is not believed to be in jeopardy. The pilot, a captain from the 15th Wing with over 1,000 flight hours, encountered the mishap at the head of runway 30R, with some remnants of the aircraft found outside the military compound. |

An F-18 fighter of the Air Force, located in the air base of the Aragonese capital, has crashed inside the military compound. The event, which has already been confirmed by the Civil Guard , took place this afternoon, specifically at 12:10 p.m., when the pilot was carrying out exhibition maneuvers. It was then that the device, for reasons that are still unknown, crashed into the ground. The pilot was able to eject in time and did not fall with the plane , but according to the first reports, he would have suffered various types of trauma to his legs. Apparently, he is conscious and has been immediately transferred in a 112 medical helicopter to a health center, and his life would not be in danger. He is a 15th Wing captain with more than 1,000 flight hours. The plane fell at the head of runway 30R and some remains of it have been scattered outside the military compound. |
