Agusta Westland AW169 Helicopter Tops Over During Training Session
A Guardia di Finanza helicopter experienced an accident during a training session at Bolzano Airport on Saturday morning. The incident involved an Agusta Westland AW169 helicopter which was stationary on the ground with its rotors in motion when it unexpectedly tipped over onto its right side. The two crew members aboard the helicopter at the time of the accident fortunately sustained no injuries. The quick response following the incident ensured the crew's safety, highlighting the effectiveness of emergency protocols in aviation training exercises. Authorities have launched a thorough investigation to determine the precise cause of the accident. Such investigations typically involve examining the helicopter's mechanical systems, pilot operations, and the conditions at the time of the accident. |

Re: Agusta Westland AW169 Helicopter Tops Over During Training Session
Notice the one groundcrew grunt was compulsively trying to grab that red tank on wheels (maybe a fire extinguisher) while repeatedly exposing himself to flying rotor debris. First rule of emergency response: Confirm scene safety - if not, get to safe location. |
