A very good analysis of this accident is at Youtube under the title: "L-29 Crash Reno National Championship Air Races 18 Sept 2022" by "Blancolirio" who does crash analysis on aircraft accidents, and I think he has this one nailed. He also points out that it looks like this guy lost one aileron during his turn before this event occurred. It is well worth watching his video on this.  |
