1994 B-52 Crash at Fairchild Air Force Base
On June 24, 1994, a U.S. Air Force Boeing B-52 Stratofortress crashed at Fairchild Air Force Base in Washington. The bomber was maneuvered beyond its operational limits, stalled, and lost control before striking the ground and exploding. All four field-grade officers aboard were killed. One person on the ground was injured and survived. The subsequent investigation attributed the crash to the pilot's actions during the maneuver.
