And they smell fucking AWFUL =( I had one patient in a psych home (paraplegic; he murdered his father but not before the old man shot him and put a bullet in his spine) who was capable of using a grab bar to turn himself, but would sleep through his 2 hour turn and wound up with decubes on his hips, ankles, and sacral area, and one who was a double amputee who lived alone who developed them literally everywhere he had a pressure point - the psych patient lived, after being taken to the wound clinic, but I went on vacation for literally only 5 days, and the double amputee died while I was gone. It can get infected and happen THAT FAST. Here, we can take patients to wound care clinics, and they can have everything sanded down, cleaned out, dressed and healed...I don't even want to imagine how awful it must be in developing/3rd world countries...just entire wards reeking of the stench...I don't even know how to describe it; it's like the stench of a 20 year old abscess and rotting meat, all rolled into one. Poor lady... |

Here's a logical thought: don't. Again, any fucker that is such a piece of shit and feels he needs to "experience" heroin, crack, or meth deserves fucking nothing from society. They don't need help, they don't need an intervention - what they need is more meth so they can off themselves and free society of their existence, also known as a burden.  |

thats upsetting. They appear to be stage 3 decub's which are very painful and usually caused by immobility. Situation like that, this girl should have been repositioned every 2 hours day and night alternating pressure point locations. With proper medications, repositioning and diligent wound care, she never would have had to suffer so tremendously. RIP you poor dear. Nothing ever ends well when its drug related
