Yamaha has shown the cyberpunk bike of the future with autonomous control, the Motoroid 2 maintains balance and responds to the owner's gestures.

What is known so far: The motorcycle is equipped with a self-balancing system that keeps it balanced in almost any conditions;

Instead of a traditional handlebar, there are grips built directly into the body, and the bike can recognize the owner by face;

In autonomous mode, the bike can lift itself from the stand, follow the owner, and park without human intervention.

It’s not supposed to be ridden. When you buy one you dance along side and stroll to work, happily with support dancers trailing behind.

It is cool looking but it is gas or electric!? And what the hell is that thing that rises up against her crotch!?! Is she getting some kind of flat rub!?!

Those rigid "kickstands" are a recipe for disaster. In the real world, the ground is not flat: Pot holes, RR xings, raised sidewalk crossings, rollover curbs, speed humps, driveway transitions, debris.

When a wheel loses traction at speed, I imagine the rigid "kickstands" will act as pivot points to violently slam MC from one kickstand to the other kickstand to the ground. Or maybe just a death wobble bouncing between kickstands, while the rider has no handlebars to grab, and can only "hug" the MC.

1990's japanese bikes, that attempted to mimic the cool look of american bikes, were the best.

i still got my '93 750cc honda nighthawk. i love her... although i need to get her fixed.
