The M1 Garand -- and its modern-day variant, the M14 -- is probably the finest semi-automatic battle rifle ever produced. The recoil system proves that a firearm can indeed be graceful. I've shot both, and didn't feel any kick until the round had cleared the muzzle. It practically shoots itself. Oh, and OP forgot about the Browning Automatic Rifle. I, however, will never forget what I would do to get my hands on one were the necessary resources ever available to me. |
