Luton I dont want to get into a pointless debate with you (again), partly because you seem to hold biggoted views and irrational hatred when it come to this subject. However what you fail to accept is that while the abuse commited by the catholic church in Ireland has been exposed for nearly two decades the servants of the german crown (your crown) are still covering up theirs.

Some of the greatest rebels in Irish history were protestant, wolftone & jack white (co founder of the ICA) to name two. The struggle for Irish freedom has never been a sectarian one but I accept that a few sectarian atrocites were commited by the INLA (one) & the provos.

Do you go to church? If so perhaps look at your own child abuse scandals, if not perhaps refrain from turning every post with regard to Ireland into a sectarian diatribe. You never condem the catholic churches actions during the spanish civil war or when they backed the italian fascists (strange that). The Catholic church in Ireland has never been weaker then it is at the moment so using that as a point against unification, that is supported worldwide, especially in the USA (the nation that made your monarchy & govenment their bitch), is pointless.

Having said that you have every right to your opinion but perhaps avoid giving support for serial killers (shankhill butchers) and promoting biggotry & sectarianism, it does not do your cause favours

This statue is in my hometown.
Its in the centre of town and the square is known as the bullring I pass it everyday.
Its a monument to the 1798 rebellion fought in Wexford.
