Brings back memories of Africa. We had oranges in the twin cab (back seat) and the Ellie's could smell them (in Chirundu - Kariba - Zimbabwe) and they trashed our car for the oranges!! We realised pretty quickly what they wanted and we flung them out the window, and when they trotted off to fetch the orange's we had lobbed...... we all ran... but I was only 14 and I thought I was the 'clever one' and climbed UNDER the car for safety. Needless to say, my mom thrashed me with her 'BATA slops' that night! I was a child of the devil because I wouldn't listen. (Bible bashed for several eons) But, I was ok hey. I thought I was 'big stuff' having the right idea. I was fine while they all ran off into the bush. Lol!! The Ellies LOVED those oranges!  |

Never mind... 'Caribbea Bay Hotel' and at 16, and having had a beer or two each.... strolling off with my best mate Angela Shaw, and we found a boat with the keys still in it. Ahhh... there's a party happening just around the corner.... Got quite far out of the harbour, and then...ran out of fuel! We had a torch though, and two paddles in the boat. Turned on the torch....there were yellow eyes ALL AROUND US in the water..... (crocs) We paddled for hours back to shore. We got back to the hotel (after trying to get to a party..and failed miserably) at 6am. Snuck back into bed so we wouldn't be in the shit... Noone found out. The next day there were cops everywhere looking for a stolen boat. The boat was called/named "Happy Days." True story!  |

It's really amazing to see just how strong some of these animals really are. You know elephants are big and strong, but there's no frame of reference until you see them do things like toss a car aside as if it's a piece of paper, or the camel picking a person up in their mouth, and effortlessly flinging them away.
