Alaskan fishermen have long been complaining of Sperm and Orca whales stripping their catch off the lines, but hard evidence has been lacking. The clip below taken off Sitka Alaska shows a sperm whale grasping a long line and actually vibrating a sablefish off the line.

A "Black Cod" or Sablefish, is the priciest fish in the North Pacific. Fisherman are getting $5 a pound for these fish, so every one lost is $50 to $75 dollars out of their pocket. They claim that 25% or more of their catch is being taken by whales!
