Re: Weapon That Fires 1 Million Rounds Per Minute
I see it as "puff the magic dragons" little nephew in his infant stage (if that doesnt show my age nothing does)... Hit every inch in a grid and you will detonate any potential mines or IEDs, more RPM the lower and faster you can clear an area, its raining lead... If someone was to integrate a GIS program, with GPS integration into this weapon, and give it access to known data ( "delivery vehicle" speed combined with air drag vs velocity and past targeting) and you have one scary machine. |

Re: Weapon That Fires 1 Million Rounds Per Minute
Actually it becomes a psychological weapon at that point much like the B-52... which, incredibly, is still in service and will be until like 2047. You may only need one round to take a person down, but you can hide from a single bullet, you can't hide from a million very easily.

Re: Weapon That Fires 1 Million Rounds Per Minute
How about when it's in use as an anti-missile system? Or maybe mounted to the bottom of an aircraft peppering the shit out of a battlefield? Do you think the AC-130 is pointless? Any of our bombers? Chainguns? Machine guns? All are the same idea, this gun has few if any moving parts because it's electronic so it's actually more reliable.
