WASP Injection Knife: WASP Knife CO2 Watermelon Demonstration
The WASP Injection Knife was a US-made knife marketed to divers, hunters, military personnel and security guards. A CO2 cartridge in the handle supplied gas to a port near the blade tip. Pressing a button on the handle released the gas into an object penetrated by the blade. The system was single-shot, requiring the cartridge to be replaced after each injection. In a promotional demonstration, a man wearing a wetsuit and safety glasses uses the knife on watermelons placed on an outdoor bench. The gas injection ruptures the melons and scatters pieces and pulp around the bench. WASP Injection Systems, Inc. marketed marine and tactical versions of the knife, with reported prices ranging from about $400 to $600. |

Re: WASP Injection Knife: WASP Knife CO2 Watermelon Demonstration
This weapon injects a freezing cold ball of compressed gas, approximately the size of a basketball, at 800psi nearly instantly. The effects of this injection will drop many of the world's largest land predators. The effects of the compressed gas not only cause over-inflation during ascent when used underwater, but also freezes all tissues and organs surrounding the point of injection on land or at sea. When used underwater, the injected gas carries the predator to the surface BEFORE blood is released into the water. Thus giving the diver added protection by diverting other potential predators to the surface. |
