A Very Lucky Dog

A LIFEBOATMAN tends to a lucky dog — found a mile out at sea yesterday five days after diving into a harbour after a seagull.

Exhausted German shepherd Storm, missing since workmen saw him leap into the Channel on Sunday, was “on his last legs”.
Found February 4th. Remarkable they found him in the vast English Channel!

Re: A Very Lucky Dog

Steve Warne, coxswain at Hastings lifeboat station, said the RNLI crew were tasked to reports of a dog in the water at about 9.35am today.
He said: 'We were tasked to find a dog which had dived into the water chasing a seagull.
'By the time we found him he was about a mile out and very tired. I just hope he makes a full recovery.
meaning on the fifth day of missing (disappeared through a hole in the fence) someone saw a dog going into the sea to chase a seagull as no way a dog can survive 5 days in the cold water.

Luckily someone saw him and they saved him. real trooper and hopefully he won't make the same mistake.

Vet Lucas Zelaskiewicz, who is currently looking after the exhausted animal, said he is 'doing very well'.
He added: 'His temperature has been brought back to normal - it was 34.3C to start with and it's up to 38.6C now.
