In December 2008 Venice suffered quite severe flooding, even though floods in Venice are quite regular this year's flood was the worst in 22 years. Duncan Zuur of the Netherlands even rode his wakeboard across flooded Piazza San Marco until stopped by the Police.

At first I wanted to go there before I died, now I'll have to make sure I go before it sinks.

I think it's funny how none of the people look like they really mind the flooding.
