Re: The Unknown Story of Hitler & His Dogs (1917-1945)

That dog was most likely a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, not a Pitbull, the ears of a Mature Pitbull stick up and are generally pointed...and the ears of a Staffordshire Bull Terrier tend to flop down.

Just thought I'd clear that up

2 Great choice of Dogs, a Staff and German Shepherd (which is what I have)
No.....The American Pit Bull Terrier's ears do NOT stick up and are pointed without them being CROPPED. The natural ear of the APBT is a rosebud type.

Look it up.....geezus.

Re: The Unknown Story of Hitler & His Dogs (1917-1945)

He was a dog lover. How odd as he was so brutal.
Is it really? It's easier to love a dog than another human being. They are loyal, beautiful, committed to their carers (if they actually care) and innocent, far more innocent than any human can ever be.

Plus I'd gladly fuck over some cunt of a human being, but I'd be hard pressed to raise a hand in anger against any dog.

Re: The Unknown Story of Hitler & His Dogs (1917-1945)

It's easier to love any animal, not just a dog, than a lot of the humans I see/meet every day. As Ripley says about the creatures in "Alien": "at least they don't fuck each other over for a percentage," or words to that effect.

I didn't know Hitler was a fan of other dogs besides German Shepherds, who are gorgeous, glorious, beings. This whole thread was quite informative. The history sections on this site will keep me reading for years!

Re: The Unknown Story of Hitler & His Dogs (1917-1945)

The Scotties (Or are these schnauzers?) were Eva's. Hitler had German Shepherds.
There is a dog place next to a Hobby Shop that I visit a lot, and they have a poster of the award winning German Shepherds through the years in Germany. (National Champions) They have the winners up through 1944, in 1945 there apparently was no contest held, and then they start up again in 1946. A lot of the earlier winners were Obersharfuhers (Spelling?), etc, from the SS.
