Unburial of a 1957 Plymouth Belvedere Buried in Tulsa in 1957

On June 15, 2007, a 1957 Plymouth Belvedere buried in Tulsa, Oklahoma during the 1957 Tulsarama! was freed from its concrete vault under the Tulsa Courthouse lawn.

None other than Boyd Coddington and Crew were there to assist Tulsa Mayor Kathy Taylor, Tulsarama co-chair Sharon King Davis and legendary Tulsan John Erlin with the proceedings.

Of course, everything led up to the car’s unburial and unveiling, and to answer the 50 year old questions; “Did the car survive?

The car went to Ultra One in Hackettstown, New Jersey going through a very time consuming de-rusting procedure.

I live in Tulsa and remember this obviously. Still don't understand why they didn't have their thinking caps on enough to know to seal that bitch up! I am moving to another state as I do not want to be associated with such stupidity....

Re: Unburial of a 1957 Plymouth Belvedere Buried in Tulsa in 1957

From what the guy who works on my truck says, the only thing that rusted more than this year and the Christine-year Plymouths is a Russian-built car called a "Lada" that was not sold in the US despite many that have come in thru Canada.

The upside of this is that they could use it in a Christine sequel without any great loss.
