The fire at the Triangle Waist Company in New York City, which claimed the lives of 146 young immigrant workers, is one of the worst disasters since the beginning of the Industrial Revolution.

This incident has had great significance to this day because it highlights the inhumane working conditions to which industrial workers can be subjected. To many, its horrors epitomize the extremes of industrialism.

The tragedy still dwells in the collective memory of the nation and of the international labor movement. The victims of the tragedy are still celebrated as martyrs at the hands of industrial greed.

i read a novel about this tradegy that happened at this company
they even made a movie employees were actually jumping
out the window to get away from the fire only to wind up dying
a horrible death

the conditions at this shirtwaist company was extremely poor
the employees didnt even have proper ventilation when working at this factory the factory was so clogged with employees that
once the fire started they couldnt get away and from the novel
as well as the historical biography it took the people to long to
get out made the fire worse and then nobody could get out
not to mention the chaos and terror of the whole situation.
