Re: Three Things About Islam
Many religions are dogmatic. It is the one fault of most organized religions. Atheism is not alone in this fault. One curious thing I notice about the difference between Atheism and religions that are Christian or Jewish: Neither Jewish nor Christian religions refer to atheism to establish themselves. However the first premise of Atheism is to refer to a Negative belief in a diety. So if there truly were no God of some sort then there would not need to be atheism. But even if there was never a religion such as atheism those who believe in a diety would be just fine in a world where there was no concept of there not being a diety. |

Re: Three Things About Islam
I'm disorganized in my beliefs. However, I couldn't care less if people believed how I believed as I am, ultimately, only responsible for myself (raising of my children and providing for my family aside). P.S. An atheist shouldn't have to proclaim they are atheist as proof of their atheism. |

Re: Three Things About Islam
Well I suppose you noncombat folks get longer deployments. I was a combat soldier, actually fighting. Are deployments are 6, 8, or 12 months, no one in my units were extended unless they volunteered. But way to jump off the topic and just insult me. Typical liberal you are, you can't explain your comments so you just insult to change the subject. btw your the fucking *** wearing tin foil... retard. What were you the water team bravo. Your a joke of a soldier

Re: Three Things About Islam
Umm, what you just said fails in a number of ways. -there is no capital 'A' in atheism, it isn't a proper noun -there is no dogma in atheism by definition -atheism does not refer to a Negative belief in a diety(sic), it's the belief there are no gods, end of story -atheism is not a religion any more than 'off' is a tv station -you assume atheism is exclusively the disbelief in a singular deity as opposed to the disbelief of multiple deities |

Re: Three Things About Islam
Keep thinking that. Deployments are the same length for everyone unless you are in SpecOps. Non-combat? Yeah right. I've been a 11B my entire career. You never got extended on a deployment? It happened pre-2008 all the time. Yes, I do have a tinfoil hat on in my pic. You know why? Because it's funny. I guess you could call me a ***, but who gives a shit. |

Re: Three Things About Islam
Also, here is my unit's wiki page. 1-501st Infantry (Airborne). Go down to the OIF and OEF section to see our recent deployment history. Or I can just put it here. OIF 06-07: "The 501st deployed as part of its parent brigade in September 2006 and the final elements returned in December 2007 as part of a 14-month tour in north Babil Province, Iraq, 35 miles (56 km) south of Baghdad. The unit was the tenant organization at Forward Operating Base Iskandariyah and conducted full-spectrum operations in the area's major population centers: Bahbahani, Jurf as Sakhr, Musayyib and Tahrir." 14 months and I volunteered to stay longer for the RIP/TOA and to teach the incoming unit about our AO. OEF 09-10: "In February 2009, just 14 months after returning from its 15-month deployment to Iraq, the 501st deployed for the second time to eastern Afghanistan as a part of Regional Command East, International Security Assistance Force. The Battalion’s area of combat operations included Khost and Paktika provinces, all on the border with Pakistan." Any questions? |
