Re: Tattoo Age- Mike Rubendall
This is one of the hardest jobs to break in to. When i first started it was so stressful , long hours , you have to pay the shop for your booth , and no pay . Then as the new guy/student your the shop bitch , come in early to clean and get everything up and running , you run the front of the shop(getting everyone in the book , taking the down payments) , i was also drawing the art for all the walkins and you stay late to clean and shut everything down . Then when you finely get to ink , its very humbling , such a difference it techinque . you have to rememebr to stretch the skin right , needle depth so you dont blow your lines out , starting in the right spot as to not wipe the stencle off . Then you become an artist and your your own boss , Still long hours , and your only making money when your on skin so you can be at the shop all day and make nothing if you dont have anything set up and theres no walkin that day . Its a really stressful life to live , but in the same token one of the funnest . . . knowing that your work will live forever with that person , pushing your self to get better
