People want the thylacine cloned (like in Jurassic Park), but we're a LONG way from being able to do that. The thylacine's closest living relative is the Tasmanian devil. One of those has to give birth to a thylacine. I think the priority would be saving the threatened devils!

not many people realise the tasmanian devil is endangered now as it's so recent.

I've always been fascinated by the Thylacine.

Gonna continue to hope for a small surviving population.
