Re: Tacoma Bridge Collapse, USA. 7 November 1940

From the first video:

"Miraculously not a single person was fatally injured"

Is it possible to be injured fatally? Doesn't he mean killed?
More correct would be to note that not one person received fatal injuries. But fatally injured is good enough.

I can see the tacoma narrows bridge from the balcony of my apartment, i wanna go scuba diving in the water below it to see if the wreckage from the original is still there
Hey, Post a pic of the bridge from your balcony. That would be cool.

Yep, it's all still there... Nothing really special but it's still cool to see. What's funny is one of my grandpas helped to build the bridge and my other grandpa was there when it came down...

Re: Tacoma Bridge Collapse, USA. 7 November 1940

you can see the one guy walking along the bridge in the one clip. the car was abandoned by a family earlier, it says their dog was too afraid to come out of the car and as a result was the only casualty as a result of the colapse
fucking idiots should have picked the dog up

Re: Tacoma Bridge Collapse, USA. 7 November 1940

Hey, I'm pretty smart, but can someone translate the description of why the bridge actually collapsed? What was it saying - that the wind hit the bridge with a force equal to the bridge's natural structural force over and over until it faltered? Or was it the material of the bridge that wasn't made properly? I was just curious.
