I think the hunter was so surprised at the elk walking right up to him, he was just soaking up the experience. I probably would have done the same thing. |

same, but i probably wouldnt be out there trying to hunt them in the first place, hence my surprise. although yes, it was a very cool human+animal moment that would have been spoiled by violence. i wonder if they gave him a running head start before they started pursuing again, lol. |

Perhaps the guy recognized the Elk as a member of the local Elk's Club. You normally don't kill people you know socially! Unless you are Brazilian.  |
