I saw it on TV and thought what a great idea it was. The demonstrations were the light melted steel and a rock were great. I could see harnessing that technology for crops in third world countries but I also saw the weapon advantage.

With a bank of modified mirrors you could literally build a wall around your self or city as ground troops would be fried.
