We have those here in Kentucky where I live. They're disgusting. Imagine a roughly symmetrical ball of clear jelly, about the density of a melon with the texture of snot. Then put it underwater stuck to a tree branch or some other object and viola! They don't really do anything visible besides exist. Pretty boring and disgusting.
