A Special Mouse
Special Mouse had many siblings, but it was recognized early on that he had neurological difficulties. His siblings were released after they had been raised, but he stayed with me, as I believed he would not have survived the wild very long with his handicap. I'm not quite so sure though. He has thrived here with virtually no assistance from me. He grooms himself, knows how to build a little nest out of the hay, and he has no trouble eating the food I provide. At clean out time, he has proven to be even harder to catch than a normal mouse. |

Re: A Special Mouse
Looks exactly like a rat I used to have who also had some neurological trouble, the tilted head and all. He couldn't keep his balance and always fell on his side. He lived in a world with no up, down, left or right. He was the sweetest and most affectionate rat I've ever had, though. |
