always makes me laugh how sensationalist small local newspapers are
These are the dramatic pictures taken during a brutal attack from a sparrow hawk on an unsuspecting pigeon in Gloucester.
The vicious attack, which took place at around at 3.30pm yesterday on Theresa Street in Linden, was captured on camera by Tracey Kirk, 42.
She said: “It was shocking to see in such a built up area.”
“Cars were going down the road but this didn’t seem to bother the bird and he continued chasing his dinner.”
The predatory bird appeared from nowhere and flew down to attack the pigeon in an act of natural instinct.
Although Tracey lived in the countryside before moving to the Gloucester suburbs, she said that she "had never seen anything like this before".
